If it is within the first week of classes, simply log in to the Howdy Portal and drop the course yourself.

If it is after the first week of class, there are two options:

1. If you will still have hours registered after you drop the course:

Please see the following pdf instructions or video tutorial on how to Q-Drop a course.

2. If dropping a course takes you to zero hours you will need to withdraw from the semester:

You are not withdrawing from the program or university by withdrawing or the semester. You can register for the next semester and start right back.

Please use the link above to find information on the process.  Students will also receive email updates regarding the status of their withdrawal once it has been submitted. They are encouraged to continue monitoring their withdrawal status and official TAMU email for communications related to their withdrawal request.

Please see this link for the withdrawing refund schedule. Withdrawing means student has dropped to zero hours.

After the 5th day of class (4th for summer), if student does the same, the student will not receive any refund.
