Important Dates and Deadlines
1. If you will still have hours registered after you drop the course:
Log in to the Howdy Portal and click on the “Aggie Schedule Builder” card. Follow the instructions to drop a course.
2. If dropping a course takes you to zero hours you will need to withdraw from the semester:
Please see this link for the withdrawing refund schedule. Withdrawing means student has dropped to zero hours.
When taking more than one course and student drops a course between the 1st and 5th day of class (4th day of class for summer semester) leaving student still enrolled in one or more courses, student will receive 100% refund. After the 5th day of class (4th for summer), if student does the same, the student will not receive any refund.
A student has up to 7 years to complete the program.
To apply for graduation, go to Howdy https://howdy.tamu.edu/uPortal/normal/render.uP – Click on My Record tab – In the “Graduation Box”, click on Application for Graduation. See the following link for further information. – https://aggie.tamu.edu/graduation/applying-for-your-degree
To cancel your graduation application, please fill out the following form and email it to contact@stat.tamu.edu. We will get the other required signatures and submit to the Office of Graduate and Professional Studies.

To pass the final Degree Audit clearance, students must have a 3.0 GPA for courses on his/her Degree Plan as well as a 3.0 GPA for all courses taken while pursuing the degree (cumulative).
To request a Student Aggie ID card, please email aggiecard@tamu.edu.
Include the following:
- Text that states you are in a Distance Learning Program
- UIN
- TAMU email address
- Your mailing address – Make sure it is the same as the one TAMU has on file. They ask for that for verification purposes.
