 TEXAS PUBLIC EDUCATION GRANT (TPEG)

The Texas Public Education Grant (TPEG) is a program administered by the State of Texas to provide assistance to students with financial need, seeking a first bachelor’s degree, graduate degree or professional degree. This is a grant, and it does not have to be repaid.

INTERNATIONAL TPEG

The International Texas Public Education Grant is awarded to international students only. The International TPEG does not have to be repaid.

  • You must maintain satisfactory academic progress.

TEXAS AGGIE GRAD GRANT

The Texas Aggie Graduate Grants are need-based awards (need is determined by Scholarships & Financial Aid) for Texas residents. Each student may receive up to $1,500 per semester in the fall and spring and $750 per semester in the Summer, with a maximum of $3,000 per year. The eligibility requirements for the Texas Aggie Graduate Grant are as follows:

  • You must be a Texas resident.
  • You must have completed and submitted a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid – available at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov).
  • You must NOT currently be employed as a graduate assistant.
    You must NOT be the holder of a fellowship or major scholarship.
  • You must be enrolled in a degree-seeking graduate program at Texas A&M (G7 or G8 status) or a graduate certificate program at the Bush School of Government and Public Service.
  • You must be enrolled at least half-time (4 hours for fall and spring; 3 hours for a 10-week summer session and 3 hours for a 5-week summer session).
